Have you ever been caught in an unhealthy life rhythm? Have you longed for spiritual development and transformation but can’t seem to find time for life changing spiritual practices in an otherwise busy life? Me too! Let’s learn together the importance of creating space for “sacred rhythms” that will transform our quiet time and help us understand the importance of spiritual transformation. This 8-week course led by Pastor Jaimie Willis will introduce us to spiritual formation through practices like solitude, scripture reading, prayer, self-examination, discernment, Sabbath and honoring the body.

September 7 - October 12

Florist Laura Smith will be leading this 6-week class on basic altar flower arrangements. The classes will focus on color, texture, size and shape and vase choices and how to bring it all together to make one beautiful arrangement. They will be used to decorate the FUMC Altar every Sunday. The arrangement then gets broken down into 4 or 5 smaller bouquets and delivered by our Flower Power volunteers to people in need. Bring your own floral scissors or $15 to buy a pair. Maybe you can be a part of our Flower Power team!

What does God’s Word have to say to women today? Does God have a fresh Word to speak over the seasons and circumstances of life? What about your relationship with food, disorganization in your home, your family, your friendships, work, anger and hurt, boundaries, complaining, loss, and rest? Bring your Bible (NRSV preferred) and come prepared to seek God’s answers for life’s concerns as Angela Henderson leads the thoughtful "Love Letters From God" Bible Study.

September 7 - November 16

In this class led by Tim McHugh and Ray Crawford, we will discuss the Methodist history and the prominent figures that started it all. We will talk about important dates and eras in the Methodist movement. We will reflect on what’s happening now, how it’s happened before and how we always make it through. We will also explore the meaning and value of our Christian sacraments and rites of passage. We will discuss the how and why of Christian weddings, funerals, baptisms, confirmations, communion services, and more.

September 7 - November 16

The Gospel of John is very different than the other three accounts of Jesus' life. This class, led by Mike Culbreath, will be an expository study of the Gospel of John with a focus on how Jesus is presented as the Son of God, the Son of Man and the I AM who I AM. There will be something in this class for every believer to help build their faith, hope and love for Jesus. Mike Culbreath has over 50 years of Bible study and ministry experience to draw from to make this study fun and interactive.

This is a mid-week experience during Connection Nights at the Central Campus for children 4 years old - 6th grade. They will learn about, experience, and practice the art of Christ-centered relationships.
